What age can kids start parkour?
Our youngest kids’ parkour class, Beton Ninja, is for children aged 6 to 10. From 11 to 15, they move on to Parkour Basics.
Isn’t parkour dangerous for kids?
We start small, on the ground and on low walls, and build up step by step. The most important thing kids learn with us is how to judge their own limits. With no more than ten kids per group, our coaches can keep a close eye on everyone.
What do kids learn in a parkour class?
Landing and rolling safely, getting over walls and railings (vaults), balancing, climbing and jumping with precision. Just as important: judging themselves realistically, finding courage and supporting each other. With the younger ones a lot happens through play; from age 11 we work on technique more specifically.
Where does training take place?
Outdoors in Vienna, at spots with walls, railings and stairs. We choose the exact location depending on the weather. After booking, your confirmation email includes a link to our WhatsApp group, where we post the meeting point the day before. The meeting point is always a U-Bahn station.
Where do I pick up my child?
At the same place where we met. After training, we walk the kids’ group back to the U-Bahn station together.
What does my child need to bring?
Comfortable sportswear that can get dirty, trainers with a good grip and a water bottle. That’s it – parkour doesn’t need any equipment.
Do you train in winter too?
Yes. Our classes run outdoors all year round, winter included. When it rains, we move to covered spots. Just dress for the weather. And for anyone who also wants to learn flips, there’s an indoor session on Fridays.
Is there training during the school holidays?
The weekly classes follow the school year and don’t run during school holidays or on days off school. In the summer holidays, though, there’s our Parkour Summer Camp.
How do I sign my child up for a parkour class?
Through the class calendar on this page: pick a date and book online. For anyone under 18, we also need written consent from a parent or guardian.
